I like this place . Great choice of salads and chicken is very tasty, moist. Service is good, seating area clean and comfortable.
Stopped in one evening before a show at the PAC, as we needed something pretty quick. It wasn't very crowded when we got there and seemed fairly clean. We took some time to look over the menu - It's fairly straightforward with your options of sandwiches, etc. It did not take a long time to order and the food was ready quickly. The order was correct and not cold. I thought the fries and my chicken sandwich were good. Nothing crazy, but solid. Don't have any complaints!
Every time I go to this restaurant they are always very cordial and do a great job with the presentation of the food. I will say 8 out of 10 employees have smiles and are eager to assist you with any selection you're wanting to make. The food is delicious and the sauces are not overbearing.
Came here with one buddy and we were looking good. We had just chauffeured our girlfriend to the airport and were looking for some tasty grub to grub down on with each other. Like this place a lot. Wish the fries were a little crispier, but I got grilled chicken if that tells you anything. I have RESPECT for my mind. My body was a little confused before the meal which is odd usually my body is certain about what it wants but this is what it wanted. I liked the sauce too. My buddy like it too almost as much as he likes our girlfriend.
We love Huey Magoo's! The seasoned fries are so good and the chicken is always crispy. The kids meals are well portioned and a good deal. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am only taking one star off because they seem to be understaffed. Tonight, it took 25 minutes for our food... four kids meals and one five piece combo meal. It looked like they only had one, maybe two people in the kitchen. Our food was hot and it was tasty so, we will be back but probably not when we are in a hurry!
I was in North Carolina a few months ago and saw a Huey Magoo's and wondered to myself what this place was. I checked out their website and thought to myself "this is a place I'd like to try" then was pleasantly surprised to see one was opening soon in Charleston Today was my first opportunity to try during lunch. I arrived shortly after 1200pm and was surprised no one was in the drive thru. The menu was large and easy to read and the process easy. I ordered the 3 piece tenders, original with fries and it included Texas Toast and one Magoo's sauce. I also added on a large sweet tea and was very surprised when they said my total was $13. Do what? The food was good, in my opinion this is an over priced Cane's. For the same meal at Cane's you're looking at almost $4 savings per meal for the same meal, 3 piece tenders with fries, toast, sauce and a drink. For a family of 4 that is roughly $16 and with current inflation that can make a difference. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to beat good service, friendly staff and good food but the pricing is high what what you receive in my opinion especially when comparing competing restaurants
